Where is Covid in the mortality numbers? Up to date numbers. As of right now we are only at 97% of the “expected” deaths in the US

Yes there is a reporting lag.

Yes people are not moving around as much. But accidents only account for about 5% of deaths.

If deaths from all causes should be at about 800k, and Covid numbers are at about 80k, overall mortality numbers should be 10% higher, all things being equal.

People did not suddenly stop dying of heart disease and the rest of it. In fact many reports are people are not seeking help as much as they normally would because they are scared of getting it. Overall deaths should be much higher.

It sure looks like they are just reclassifying a lot of deaths that otherwise happen.
