Woman attacked in Chinatown speaks out

A high school teacher who is still recovering after she was randomly attacked last month in the Chinatown-International District said Tuesday that she believes she was targeted because of her nationality at a time when several U.S. cities have reported an increase in assaults against Asian Americans.

Snohomish County health officials are feeling optimistic and for good reason. The county is seeing a consistent 20 percent drop in case counts following the horrific third surge of the pandemic.

Grocery store workers in unincorporated King County will earn a pay increase in two weeks after the King County Council approved hazard pay.
