During that time, the agency subjected “those applications to heightened scrutiny and inordinate delays,’” and demanded, “’information that TIGTA determined was unnecessary to the agency’s determination of their tax-exempt status.”
The Judicial Watch obtained IRS Documents that revealed John McCain’s Subcommittee Staff Director urged IRS to engage in “the solution is to audit so many that it becomes financially ruinous.” So here we have a Republican, John McCain, abusing the power of the IRS for the same ends.
