First it was medical stocks because of covid. Then it was the work from home stocks because of the lockdowns. Then it was buttcorn and nfts because we ran out of shit to sell. And now it’s AI.
The big fraud I’m seeing with AI is that it’s being presented as if a company has some computer is able to “think.” That’s the gotcha. The software can’t think–it just creates responses that make you, the human user, believe the software is much more capable than it actually is.
I’m not a neural network AI Python software engineering person. But I’m also not a f*cking idiot, despite what my mom says. I know for a fact these AI systems are just glorified web scrapers that generate results in the form of a human-like messages. Because theses “AI” programs cannot “think” there’s no actual “intelligence” to be had.
If you think you’re going to buy MSFT calls because they dumped 10BN into AI then you’re a goon. MSFT has done tons of dumb shit: developing Windows 11, making Cortona, and removing 3D Pinball Space Cadet are just a few really dumb things this company has done. Not everything they touch turns to gold, a lot of it turns to turds. Hell, just the other day the AI they used in Bing was harassing users who were asking it hard questions. What a shit show.
All jokes aside, I’ve seen this one so many times. Cathie Wood sells me ARK because the tech rally was imminent and then it crashes. Peter Schiff tries to sell me gold because the financial system collapse is imminent and then we rally. Elon Musk sells me a Tesla that self drives itself into a f*cking fire truck.
It’s all fake business. Do not get caught up in the hype. Make calculated bets using Theta strats and don’t get caught listening to these goons. Nobody is ever going to tell you how to make money with bets or investing, but I will bet all 3 of my testicles that you will lose money if you bet on AI winning.
