We recently had a thread about an Oz bank that refused to give a man his money until they knew what it was for.
We’ve internationally all heard about the California man who withdrew over $200,000 and he was mugged in the bank’s parking lot: the teller went to call his buddies while the man waited for his large withdrawal.

Let’s talk possible bank scams, here. For those who have roommates and other living situations that make it impossible to “take your money out of the banks” do you foresee any of this scenarios possible, with Millennials and Zillenials being bank tellers…?
1. You deposit your money. The teller gives you a fake receipt but doesn’t actually deposit in your account. You go to withdraw/pay a purchase/bill and the deposits never made it. Is it possible to be given a fake receipt and the teller keeps your cash? (I assume easier to make cash “disappear” than checks.)
2.You try to buy something but your account is empty. They tell you that someone “hacked” your account…from your computer. But it is a lie & an inside job. Is that possible?
3. The teller puts your deposit in one of their personal accounts, then it disappears. You go inquire, and they tell you that you deliberately deposited into someone else’s account, “paying a debt off”.
Is any of these a possibility? What else do you foresee could go wrong? Do you really think they will implement the social credit by 2030 and they will freeze everyone’s banks?
