I told you previously that I am not optimistic about Elon buying Twitter.
I know that right wingers are drunk on hopium, as they seem to believe that Musk will implement freedom of speech on Twitter, but I don’t think it’s going to happen.
As things stand now, I don’t think Trump will be allowed back on Twitter actually.
If Musk was a die-hard free-speech absolutist, he would have done it by now, or at least signal it.
Twitter is not a complex platform. All Musk has to do is to fire all blue-haired freaks and bring his own people.
The thing is, Musk decided to keep the vast majority of the staff, he only fired the CEO/CFO and whomever.
He also tweeted that:
Twitter will be forming a content moderation council with widely diverse viewpoints.
No major content decisions or account reinstatements will happen before that council convenes.

What even is this?
By “free speech”, I simply mean that which matches the law.
I am against censorship that goes far beyond the law.
If people want less free speech, they will ask government to pass laws to that effect.
Therefore, going beyond the law is contrary to the will of the people.

So yeah, it’s not gonna happen.
He promised free speech, now he’s backtracking.
Shocking, amirite?
Starlink has been told by some governments (not Ukraine) to block Russian news sources. We will not do so unless at gunpoint.
Sorry to be a free speech absolutist.

He also bowed down to grievances from LeBron James about retards spamming the word “nigger” on the platform, and also said the policies on hate speech stand.
It looks like the ADL is still calling the shots:
He spent 44 billion on Twitter for what exactly?
It’s unclear what he’s doing, but it definitely doesn’t look like free speech to me.
I hope I’m wrong.
