Inspector General Michael Horowitz has issued his report on the behavior of DOJ/FBI officials. Although it won’t be public until next Friday in order to provide those criticized to respond.
The report found “reasonable grounds” for believing FBI and DOJ officials violated federal criminal law in their handling of the Clinton email investigation. As a result, the IG has provided criminal to Utah’s top federal prosecutor, John Huber for possible criminal prosecution. A criminal referral is just one stop short of a criminal indictment.
Those who were given the opportunity to read the report could only do so if they signed a non-disclosure agreement – of course, penalties only apply to pro-Trump folks.
