LULA’S LECTURE ON POVERTY, PAID FOR BY TAXPAYERS

Lula speaks about hungry families and condemns billionaires while traveling aboard presidential aircraft, surrounded by enormous entourages and staying in expensive hotels, all paid for by Brazilian taxpayers.

In 2025 alone, Lula’s 16 international trips cost at least R$44.4 million. Nearly R$19 million was spent on accommodations and R$20.5 million on vehicles and transportation services.

His six-day tour of France cost more than R$12 million, including R$6.34 million for hotels. One official contract records almost R$2 million for his support team’s accommodations at the Hilton Paris Opera.

And these figures do not include the cost of Brazilian Air Force flights, which remains undisclosed.

Meanwhile, Janja spent 54 days abroad across nine trips in 2025, without the government fully disclosing the cost of her international activities.

During Lula’s first two years back in office, federal government travel expenses reached R$4.58 billion, including almost R$3 billion in daily allowances.

Poverty is real. Hunger is real. Inequality deserves outrage.

But moral lectures are easy when taxpayers are paying for the aircraft, motorcades, entourages and luxury accommodations.

Lula’s rhetoric is fake. He is widely known for making promises and telling lies, yet he continues to present himself as a champion of the poor while benefiting from the privileges of power.

Before lecturing humanity about those who have nothing, Lula should explain why his government spends public money as though it has no limit.

The problem is not a lack of outrage. It is the hypocrisy of preaching equality to the poor while governing in luxury at their expense.
