- Three officers have been shot in Texas after they were called to a home
- Police in Cedar Park, near Austin, were called by a mother to the house Sunday
- She said her son, in his 20s and with mental health issues, was ‘very aggressive’
- The son fired on the officers, injuring three, and the officers returned fire
- The suspect then barricaded himself inside the home with three other people
- Hostage negotiators are on the site and police ‘hope for a peaceful resolution’
- The situation is ongoing with ambulances and SWAT teams at the scene
- Police tweeted that they were dealing with ‘a very active scene’
- Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, vowed to bring the perpetrator to justice
