The tentative border-wall compromise deal reached Monday night while President Trumpwas making his speech at a rally in El Paso, is “garbage,” said Fox New’s Sean Hannity. He wasn’t the only one.
Republican lawmakers who have backed Trump’s call for $5.7 billion in infrastructurefunding said the deal is a no deal as the Friday deadline looms for another partial government shutdown. The deal must still pass a vote in the House and Senate. It will then be sent to the President for his signature.
“By the way, on this new so-called compromise,” Hannity said. “I’m getting details. $1.3 billion? That’s not even a wall, a barrier… We will get back into this tomorrow. Any Republican that supports this garbage compromise, you will have to explain—look at this crowd, look at the country.”
Similarly, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and other lawmakers, voiced their displeasure with the deal on Twitter.

From Breitbart: the deal prevents “Trump from building a border wall out of new materials, the deal is set to tack on stipulations as to what the barrier can be made from and where it can be placed.” The deal also limits the detention bed space. Taking this deal is a step backward and is a win for democrats. This ties the hands of the president and limits his constitutional authority. I don’t think he will take it. Keep the government open without any border legislation in the budget. Use existing authority and laws to build the wall/barrier.
