Short clip frames Cross’s retail analogy as advice for Manitoba home invasions

End Wokeness posted a ~10-second clip of NDP MLA Billie Cross saying “let them steal” while describing it as advice to residents facing home invasions in Manitoba. The Oct. 29, 2026 Hansard record of her remarks on Bill 210 shows the line came right after “I don’t think anyone’s property is more valuable than a human life. That’s why we have insurance” and “we not put ourselves in the line of fire when something’s being stolen,” with the retail example (“someone comes in, they want to steal, let them steal”) used as the comparison. She was arguing against expanded civil protections for property owners who injure trespassers committing crimes. The circulating version omits the property-versus-life and retail framing.
