Democrats jumped on President Trump’s decision to pull the U.S. out of the Iran deal but Nancy Pelosi takes the cake for her rambling rant.
She claimed the move threatens global security but then went off the rails with incoherent rambling that has become a norm during her weekly press conference and on the House floor (video above).
To be honest, it was embarrassing because she clearly made false statements that even the New York Times called her out on:
WHAT WAS SAID
For years, we have been trying to get China and Russia to do any sanctions on Iran. Never, never, never.
— Representative Nancy Pelosi, Democrat of California, on the House floor on Thursday
This is false.
China and Russia, as permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, voted to impose sanctions against Iran in 2006
2008 www.un.org/press/en/2008/sc9268.doc.htm and 2010 https://www.un.org/press/en/2010/sc9948.doc.htm
(Ms. Pelosi even commended the 2010 vote in a news release.)
“For the president to destroy the successful Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action gravely endangers our global security and defies comprehension,” Pelosi said Thursday, referring to the Iran nuclear deal as “one of the great diplomatic achievements of our time.
Twitter comments ranged from, “She is the perfect example of why we need term limits.” to “I think she forgot what the topic was lol”
There’s no doubt that Pelosi produced “word salad” that sent Twitter into a WTH moment. Twitter users challenged others to try and decipher what Pelosi just said. This woman is an embarrassment to Democrats but they stand there with blank stares just letting her ramble. Pathetic!
