NIO developed its own “天探” AI system. Finished cars at the Xinqiao second factory use onboard software, hardware and cloud AI to run more than 1,000 checks in about 3 minutes. Doors, windows, seats, lights, trunk, wipers and more open and close by themselves with no one inside the car. The system has been public since 2025 and is used across NIO brands. The factory is a World Economic Forum Lighthouse plant.
