Florida authorities arrested 281 people in a massive undercover operation targeting human trafficking, prostitution and child predators. Among those arrested were 17 employees from Disney World and Universal Studios, a youth football coach, an elementary school resource deputy and an active-duty Navy servicemember. Investigators identified 31 suspects accused of trying to arrange sexual encounters with minors and 11 possible trafficking victims. This follows Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier’s August 13 announcement that more than 2,000 suspected child predators had been arrested statewide since February 2025. Back in May, Polk County authorities arrested another 266 people in the first Polk Around and Find Out operation. Predators don’t need to hide in some dark alley. They can be sitting in classrooms, coaching children’s sports, working at theme parks or occupying positions where parents naturally place their trust.
