IMPORTANT CORRECTION: Regarding the example I provided with the Diablo 3 for Switch trailer seemingly not being affected by the “dislikes” purge, I’m now realizing that its “likes” percentage on YouTube doesn’t match the percentage on SocialBlade. Looking back, I noticed all recent videos from the Diablo channel that have been mass disliked are having a portion of their dislikes deleted. This isn’t isolated to the Diablo Immortal uploads, it’s isolated to all dislikes since the game’s announcement. Either Blizzard is knowingly purging a portion of all recent dislikes directed at the Diablo channel en-mass or this is YouTube algorithm at work. Either way, 100 thousand dislikes being purged for a video is rather unprecedented.
