I imagine you are wondering why I said Obama was working against the American people by signing in the 2017 Defense Bill. I will explain. This is a huge bill, and he worked in the a provision to establish as US “ministry of truth” and media propaganda. In other words, he declared war on “fake news” recently, and this makes that war official. Oh, well, and on we go.End of commentary.
He has infuriated China as he is now messing with Taiwan, and China claims Taiwan as theirs. China says the following on the matter: QUOTED FROM REUTERS:
It noted that the part of the defense policy bill referring to Taiwan was not legally binding, but said it was an interference with China’s internal affairs that China could not accept.
“We urge the U.S. side to abide by its promises made to China on the Taiwan issue, stop U.S.-Taiwan military contacts and arms sales to Taiwan, to avoid damaging Sino-U.S. ties and peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.”
Further commentary: It seems all Obama and Clinton know how to do is sell arms to other Countries, and all that seems to do is to cause wars. It is just a repetitive cycle. Obama has further criticized President Trump for making China angry by taking a phone call from Taiwan…a little friendly phone call. By signing this Defense Bill he has, also, stirred up trouble with Russia. We all know what a failure the US program has been to train and arm Syrian rebels only to have them defect to the side of ISIS taking US weapons and Humvees with them. Yeah, that has really worked!
Obama has signed into the Bill more money to arms Syrian rebels. QUOTED FROM
Russia said on Tuesday that a U.S. decision to ease some restrictions on arming Syrian rebels had opened the way for deliveries of shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles, a move it said would directly threaten Russian forces in Syria. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the policy change easing some restrictions on weapons supplies to rebels was set out in a new U.S. defence spending bill and that Moscow regarded the step as a hostile act. “In the administration of B. Obama they must understand that any weapons handed over will quickly end up in the hands of jihadists with whom the sham ‘moderate’ opposition have long acted jointly,” Zakharova said in a statement.
Further commentary: Here we have the US supplying the Syrian rebels with shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles, which will put the Russian planes in jeopardy. Actually it will put any plane in harms way, and further these missiles could end up in the hands of ISIS. How do we know they will not? The training and arming of Syrian rebels to bring down Assad is just another blunder as was Libya. Same type of thinking…we never learn do we?
In conclusion while Americans were wishing and hoping during Christmas for a Happy New Year with President-elect Trump at the helm, we and our new President will be dealing with what Obama has just concocted over his Christmas vacation. He has it out for the American people and for President-elect Trump, but I continue to believe we can handle it as long as WE THE PEOPLE pull together in support of President Trump, Vice-President Pence, and their new incoming Cabinet. It will be a joy to get rid of the Obama Administration, including DOJ Loretta Lynch, and, of course, past Secretary of State.
Recall that as we reported in early June, “a bill to implement the U.S.’ very own de facto Ministry of Truth had been quietly introduced in Congress. As with any legislation attempting to dodge the public spotlight the Countering Foreign Propaganda and Disinformation Act of 2016 marks a further curtailment of press freedom and another avenue to stultify avenues of accurate information. Introduced by Congressmen Adam Kinzinger and Ted Lieu, H.R. 5181 seeks a “whole-government approach without the bureaucratic restrictions” to counter “foreign disinformation and manipulation,” which they believe threaten the world’s “security and stability.”
Also called the Countering Information Warfare Act of 2016 (S. 2692), when introduced in March by Sen. Rob Portman, the legislation represents a dramatic return to Cold War-era government propaganda battles. “These countries spend vast sums of money on advanced broadcast and digital media capabilities, targeted campaigns, funding of foreign political movements, and other efforts to influence key audiences and populations,” Portman explained, adding that while the U.S. spends a relatively small amount on its Voice of America, the Kremlin provides enormous funding for its news organization, RT.
“Surprisingly,” Portman continued, “there is currently no single U.S. governmental agency or department charged with the national level development, integration and synchronization of whole-of-government strategies to counter foreign propaganda and disinformation.”
Long before the “fake news” meme became a daily topic of extensive conversation on such discredited mainstream portals as CNN and WaPo, H.R. 5181 would task the Secretary of State with coordinating the Secretary of Defense, the Director of National Intelligence, and the Broadcasting Board of Governors to “establish a Center for Information Analysis and Response,” which will pinpoint sources of disinformation, analyze data, and — in true dystopic manner — ‘develop and disseminate’ “fact-based narratives” to counter effrontery propaganda.
In short, long before “fake news” became a major media topic, the US government was already planning its legally-backed crackdown on anything it would eventually label “fake news.”
Obama signs “Ministry of Propaganda” dear lord is this still America or are we really going to let Soros decide what we can read or hear??
Some critics on social media have made it clear they don’t want the government involved at all in the filtering of information. The government, of course, vows it only seeks to “proactively advance fact-based narratives that support U.S. allies and interests.”
